Founder's Story
Dr. Nicole Robinson turned her breast cancer journey into a powerful mission of hope and resilience. After her diagnosis with Stage 2 breast cancer, she founded the Hatz 4 Hearts Foundation, which transforming her personal battle into a beacon of hope for supporting others. What started as a deeply personal challenge blossomed into a purposeful movement that uplifts cancer patients through simple yet impactful gestures of kindness.
Nicole’s journey began with an unexpected struggle—losing her hair to chemotherapy. “Losing your hair as a woman can be one of the most distressing experiences. I wrestled with maintaining my identity when I could no longer recognize the person in the mirror.” Despite her own physical challenges, Nicole’s faith, HOPE, and fighting spirit remained unshaken. In 2014, she began hosting events to collect new hats and headwear for cancer patients.
As her advocacy grew, so did her purpose. By 2015, Nicole was celebrating her survivorship by promoting breast health awareness and expanding her foundation’s reach. Even after her re-diagnosis with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in 2018, Nicole’s determination never faltered. Instead, her vision for Hatz 4 Hearts grew stronger.
Hatz 4 Hearts today, is more than just a foundation—it’s a lifeline for those navigating the challenges of cancer. The organization provides:
- Supportive services to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
- Breast cancer awareness and education to empower communities.
- Positively YOU Patient Care Grants are awarded annually to help patients with treatment-related needs.
The foundation’s flagship event, the Pink Carpet Community Gala, is a vibrant celebration of survivorship and the cornerstone of its fundraising efforts. Through this event and the generosity of donors, Hatz 4 Hearts continues to transform lives, one gesture at a time.
